Long Duration funds are debt funds that lend to quality companies for 5 or more years. The long tenure of loan means that investment is riskier than other Debt Funds. However, tax benefits in the form of indexation benefit is guaranteed on staying invested for more than 3 years with usually better returns than a bank fixed deposit.
